Corian worktops at the dental surgery

A comfortable ambience is required in the treatment room to make the patients smile after a visit to the dentist. Here, the focus is on modernity and functionality, due to first-class hygiene properties.

»Reconciling hygiene, function, order and design,« is the requirements profile for the renovation of the dental surgery Dr Sinseder & Kollegen.  To this end, master joiner Matthias Anzenhofer worked with interior designer Monika Rittmeier to create an interior design concept: with clear shapes, hygienic surfaces and well thought out furniture details. »We want to use materials, light and colour to create a peaceful, pleasant and professional atmosphere,« summarises Monika Rittmeier.

Material of choice for medical areas

For worktops and niche back panels, Matthias Anzenhofer chose Corian in Glacier White. The solid surface is popular for use in medical areas, as it can be glued almost seamlessly with its unique material properties. Another advantage is the non-porous hygienic surface which avoids dirt deposits and mould formation, as well as being easy to clean and disinfect. The worktop is completed by a seamlessly subsurface-mounted, oval Corian wash basin. Matthias Anzenhofer purchases all the Corian elements ready for installation from the specialist supplier Hasenkopf; with all the sections and details. A customised feature is, for example, the power sockets which are integrated flush into the solid surface and manage without visible frames.
